This session is aimed Product Managers, Developers and Systems Integrators of Accounting Software that are now looking to incorporating support for the consumption or publishing of XBRL GL into their product road maps as market demand builds and adoption of XBRL GL is on the rise.
You will learn what XBRL GL is, the benefits of standards adoption for you and your customers, the benefits of XBRL GL to consumers of accounting information
You will learn how XBRL GL can be incorporated within your company’s products and services offerings, how it can benefit you, your customers, and all of the accounting information supply chain, and how this exciting new technology standard will affect your business.
XBRL GL is an international XML standard that enables the efficient handling of financial and business information contained within an organization; allows the representation of anything that is found in a chart of accounts, journal entries or historical transactions, financial and non-financial; and any developer can create import and export routines to convert information to XBRL GL format.
This means that accounting software developers need only consider one design for their XML import/export file formats. Application service providers can offer to supply XBRL import and output so end-users can more easily use their own data. Companies developing operational products, such as point of sale systems or job costing, or reporting tools can link with many accounting products without needing specialized links to each one.
This tutorial session is meant to give product manager and their development team’s insight into the value-propositions for including XBRL GL into their product and related service offerings roadmaps.
The Instructors are experienced in presenting XBRL, XBRL GL and software development concepts to both non-technical and technical audiences. Some exposure to and familiarity with XML and accounting software is required.
Speakers include Hugh Wallis, XBRL International Inc. - Standards Development; Masatomo Goto, Fujitsu Laboratories Of America, Inc.; Nobuyuki Sambuichi of Hitachi Systems and Services, Ltd., and Gianluca Garbellotto, DynAccSys.
