Latin America Task Force

The Latin America Task force is working to promote jurisdictions, membership and adoption in Latin America by:

  • Providing XII credibility to local adoption efforts and and ongoing projects
  • Identifying market needs throughout the region
  • Providing a forum for sharing information and updates on projects
  • Initiating support on the standard development from the region

The chair of the LATF is Ana Christina Sepulveda.

Ms. Ana Cristina Sepúlveda is the Head of the XBRL Team at the Superintendencia de Valores y Seguros (SVS), the Chilean securities and insurance supervisor. Since 2008 she has developed the SVS CL-CI XBRL taxonomy for reporting of financial statement under IFRS for issuers. This taxonomy is an extension from IFRS taxonomy. It releases an annual update of the taxonomy. She is currently working in the development of the Insurance Company Taxonomy for reporting next year. She has been involved since 2009 as teacher in the yearly e-learning course “Interactive XBRL Data for Financial Supervision” organized by the Supervisors of Spain.

Until 2007, she led the team that developed the project that manages statistical information available on the website of the SVS. Before that, she worked nearly 15 years in the Financial Control Division of the SVS, responsible for oversight of corporate issuers. 

She is a graduate in Business Administrator from University of Chile, Administration and Economics School. She also has a Master Business Administration from Adolfo Ibañez University (Chile).
