New Mandate in the Netherlands

Posted on November 29, 2015 by Dave Nitchman

The Dutch parliament moved on Thursday this week to mandate electronic filing of financial accounts to the Chamber of Commerce (the national business registrar). The legislation phases in XBRL reporting as part of the Dutch SBR program, with small companies starting next year. Filing for medium-sized companies will start in 2017 and all private entities will be covered by 2019. Congratulations to XBRL Netherlands for their work to help bring this about. More information is available here (in Dutch) or contact XBRL Netherlands.
