Welcome to XBRL South Africa

The effort of developing and promoting the use of XBRL is divided into various country jurisdictions. This web site is for the XBRL SA jurisdiction, i.e. the XBRL technical and adoption activities in the Republic of South Africa.

This site provides information about the nature, uses and benefits of XBRL. It explains how individuals and companies can join the effort to move forward and make use of the standard.

XBRL South Africa is a not-for-profit consortium of leading South African companies and organisations, whose role is to create and maintain XBRL taxonomies based on South African reporting standards, to increase the awareness, knowledge and understanding of XBRL and its uses in South Africa, and to stimulate and promote the adoption of XBRL in South Africa.
