Start Date:
January 1, 2001
Brief Description:
Use of XBRL by the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) to define, collect, validate, and distribute quarterly financial data (Call Reports) from 7300 regulated financial institutions.
Project Objectives:
The implementation of the CDR marked a revolution in the way that Call Report data are collected, validated, managed and distributed. Under this new system, institutions file their Call Report data via the Internet using software that contains the FFIEC’s XBRL formulas for validating Call Report data before submission.
