This case study presentation will detail how Fujitsu revamped its own internal IT systems using XBRL-GL (XBRL Global Ledger), XML and SOA to make global operations more efficient in order to speed up management decisions and improve financial governance. The session will delve into the approaches taken to implement a global strategy focused on rationalizing the existing infrastructure - 63 different systems with 1 million product codes and 1200 interfaces that touched over 9000 processes - and establishing an integrated financial reporting platform.
