In the Netherlands – a new SBR Pilot

Posted on February 19, 2016 by Dave Nitchman

The Dutch SBR program continues to expand, with the Ministry of the Interior announcing an SBR pilot program for filings related to the submission of financial reports to the Social Housing Guarantee Fund (WSW) and the Authority for Housing Associations (Aw). The initial program will include approximately 20 companies, while a mandate covering all landlords is under consideration for 2018. The program is getting financial support from Logius, the Dutch government’s e-government authority, meaning costs to participants will be low.

The Dutch are moving aggressively to expand the benefits of SBR – costs savings, less red tape and better quality data – to a wide array of industries. It’s a move we applaud and can serve as an example for other countries looking to enjoy the same results. Read our recent SBR coverage, including hard numbers around cost savings in Australia.
