As of November 1st, 2017, the ‘Level 1 LEI-CDF Version 2.1 Concatenated File’ is now the authoritative source for business identification Level 1 data. Level 1 data refers to business card LEI reference information designed to identify ‘who is who’, including the name of the legal entity in question and its registered address. The GLEIF Concatenated Files, which include information on legal entities based on specific reporting formats, are available for download on the GLEIF website free of charge.

The full article published by GLEIF, provides a deeper insight regarding the data provided within the Concatenated Files, including a list of benefits for LEI data users.

You may also download the Concatenated Files here and read more about them here. And don’t forget — coming soon is Level 2 data, now being collected. Level 2 is “Who is owned (directly and ultimately) by Whom?”
