Thank you to Andreas Barckow at IASB!
This week saw the end of Andreas Barckow’s term as Chair of the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB). As the IFRS Foundation observes, he spearheaded significant improvements in the way that companies present their financial disclosures. Thank you Andreas for your steady leadership of the IASB, your focus on enhancing comparability (including digital comparability through IFRS 18) and the very significant amounts of outreach and engagement that you have led across the world.
The recruitment of the next IASB Chair is reported to be at an advanced stage, with Vice-Chair Linda Mezon-Hutter serving as Acting Chair in the interim.
