IFRS Accounting Taxonomy 2023

The International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Foundation has issued its annual XBRL taxonomy updates for financial reporting, publishing the IFRS Accounting Taxonomy 2023 this week.

The latest version reflects changes in disclosure requirements as a result of changes to accounting standards during the past year, including, in particular, changes to the rules surrounding Lease Liability in a Sale and Leaseback and Non-Current Assets with Covenants. It also includes a range of new concepts that reflect common practice.

The 2023 taxonomy is now ready for implementation and adoption.
