IFRS Foundation launches ISSB training programme
The IFRS Foundation has announced the global launch of its ISSB Training Partner Programme, which authorises qualified organisations to deliver official training on applying the IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards (ISSB Standards).
The programme equips selected partners to deliver approved courses built from IFRS Foundation materials. An initial cohort is already in place, and the Foundation is now inviting further organisations around the world to apply. At its heart is a new practical course, ISSB Disclosure Training, aimed at preparers of sustainability-related financial disclosures, including sustainability, finance and reporting professionals, along with their advisers.
The timing reflects strong demand. With more than 40 jurisdictions now adopting or otherwise using ISSB Standards, the need for hands-on guidance on applying them has grown quickly. ISSB Vice-Chair Sue Lloyd said the programme is central to the Foundation’s commitment to supporting high-quality application of the standards.
For the digital reporting community, anything that improves the consistency and quality of sustainability disclosures at source is welcome, since well-applied standards make for better structured data downstream.
