SEC calls roundtable on executive compensation disclosure – have your say

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) just announced it will host a roundtable on June 26, 2025, to discuss executive compensation disclosure requirements. SEC Chair Paul S. Atkins is asking for public input, inviting everyone – investors, companies, experts- to weigh in before or after the event.
The roundtable will be live-streamed from the SEC’s Washington D.C. headquarters, with limited in-person attendance. But don’t worry if you can’t make it in person: the SEC encourages written comments, which will be posted publicly. This is your chance to shape how companies reveal executive pay, a hot topic for transparency and investor trust.
Why does this matter? Executive compensation is a key part of corporate reporting that investors scrutinise closely. Clear, consistent disclosure helps markets work better. This is more than just words on a page. It’s about data quality and usability that supports smarter analysis. It’s the foundation for better insights, not just for regulators but for investors and companies alike.
If you’re interested, don’t miss this chance to contribute.
