SEC updates interactive data test suite

Posted on December 2, 2023 by Editor

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)  has rolled out an update to its Interactive Data Test Suite, accessible here.

The primary objective of the Interactive Data Test Suite is to aid software developers in validating Interactive Data before it is submitted to EDGAR. This suite comprises numerous small instances of Interactive Data, schemas, and linkbases.

In the latest release (23.4), the EDGAR system will now support the new taxonomy FND with versions 2022 and 2023. Additionally, new submission types, namely S-6, S-6/A, N-8B-2, N-8B-2/A, and 487, have been added to the list of accepted Inline XBRL documents.

Developers and filers are encouraged to explore these updates and use the Interactive Data Test Suite for timely identification and correction of potential errors before the actual submission to EDGAR.
