XBRL International Elects New Members to the Board of Directors

XBRL International is pleased to announce two new additions to its Board of Directors. The candidates were elected by the XII Member Assembly at its meeting in Dublin, Ireland.

At-Large Representative
John Dill, Bermuda Monetary Authority
Director, Management Services

Mr. John Dill has over 25 years of experience in the information technology industry in both managerial and technical roles, covering Information Risk Management, Security, Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, Enterprise Architecture, Software Development, and Strategic and Tactical Planning. In his capacity with the Bermuda Monetary Authority Mr. Dill’s responsibilities include Information Technology, Currency Operations, Facilities and Document Management and the Authority’s Project Management Office. Prior to joining the Bermuda Monetary Authority, Mr. Dill was a Project Manager at the Bank of Bermuda (a member of the HSBC Group) where he was responsible for the delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects in the Bank’s Operational Risk, Compliance, and Finance areas. Mr. Dill has a Masters of Arts Degree in General Management from Webster University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from the University of Western Ontario.

Michal Piechocki, BR-AG
CEO

Michal Piechocki is the Chief Executive of the Business Reporting – Advisory Group, leading its global operations and advising international governmental and supervisory institutions on the adoption of XBRL. His expertise has been contributed to projects in Europe, Australia, Asia and North and South America. Prior to his leadership of BR-AG Michal worked as a member of the International Accounting Standards Committee (IASC) Foundation XBRL Team developing the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) XBRL taxonomy and related projects. Michal graduated from the Poznan University of Economics (Management Department with majors in Capital Investments and Corporate Financial Strategies) where he received Master’s degree in economics and continues his education as a PhD Candidate at the Technische Universitat Freiberg, Germany.

The XBRL International Board is comprised of representatives from XII’s Jurisdiction and Organisational Direct Members, as well as at-large representatives including the Treasurer. “We welcome Michal and John to the XII Board of Directors. Their knowledge, experience and standing in the community will be an asset to XII as the organisation continues its progression toward XBRL being the prominent standard for the sharing of business information,” said XII CEO, Tony Fragnito.
