XBRL International welcomes Workiva as its newest Sustaining Partner!

Posted on September 15, 2017 by Editor

The Sustaining Partnership program is a very tangible way that members can contribute to XBRL’s goals to improve business reporting, worldwide. Sustaining Partnerships are a special category of membership over a minimum three year period.

XBRL International CEO John Turner said “We are delighted to announce that Workiva is one of the first wave of organisations to provide this enhanced support to the work of our organisation. The generous contributions of these and future Sustaining Partners will help us meet the growing demand for technical and process innovation. This is direct support that helps make the future of business reporting a reality”

XBRL International develops and maintains the XBRL specifications, develops guidance, supports regulators and policy makers right around the world, and carries out a huge range of advocacy in support of our purpose.

We are working to enhance transparency and accountability in business performance by providing open data exchange standards.

Or, yes, you can think of it as helping the world move reporting from paper to data! We are going through a period of significant modernisation and innovation and experiencing extremely significant acceleration in XBRL based reporting worldwide. We can’t carry out our work without the support of all our members, including all of our Jurisdictions and our Sustaining Partners nor without our volunteers. We are delighted to add Workiva to the roster! Thank you!
