EBA sharpens resolution planning and cross-border coordination
The European Banking Authority (EBA) recently revised Regulatory Technical Standards (RTS) on resolution plans and the functioning of resolution colleges. The updates aim to align with current risks, simplify planning, tailor requirements to specific institutions, and improve cooperation among authorities overseeing cross-border banking groups.
Key changes include streamlined plan content, a clearer separation of resolution strategies and resolvability assessments, and a new structure built around seven core dimensions. Updates to resolution colleges aim to cut administrative burden and enhance coordination.
