EBA seeks feedback on draft technical package 4.3
The European Banking Authority (EBA) has released a draft of version 4.3 of its reporting framework, opening the consultation process ahead of final publication in June 2026. Published on 16 April, the package introduces a technical framework for two important new areas of reporting.
The first is supervisory reporting for third-country branches (TCBs), introduced under the Capital Requirements Directive (CRD), with a proposed introduction date of 31 March 2027. The second relates to data supporting the Anti-Money Laundering Authority’s (AMLA) methodology for identifying obliged entities that will fall under its direct supervision, starting from 31 December 2026.
The draft includes validation rules, the Data Point Model (DPM), and XBRL taxonomies for both new areas. By publishing early, the EBA is giving reporting institutions and software providers more time to prepare, and provide feedback, before the framework is finalised.
Read the draft and provide feedback, until 10 May, here.
