IFRS taxonomy architecture guide gets an update

Posted on July 6, 2026 by Editor

The IFRS Foundation has published an updated version of its guide on “Using the IFRS digital taxonomies: The Taxonomy architecture.”

The IFRS taxonomies translate the IFRS Accounting Standards and IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards into structured, digital form as XBRL taxonomies – underlying digital reporting around the world. The guide describes the technical architecture of the IFRS digital taxonomies and how that architecture supports implementation, extension and use in digital financial reporting.
