Posted on November 3, 2023 by Editor

The European Banking Authority (EBA) has published the technical package for phase 3 of version 3.3 of its reporting framework. This package comprises standard specifications, including validation rules, the Data Point Model (DPM), and XBRL taxonomies, specifically designed to facilitate the new reporting on Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book (IRRBB).

Initially, this technical package will be employed for ad-hoc data collection from banks participating in the Quantitative Impact Study (QIS) with a reference date of 31 December 2023, in accordance with the EBA BS 2023 514 decision by the Board of Supervisors (BoS).

In the future, the same package will also serve the Implementing Technical Standards (ITS) on supervisory reporting regarding IRRBB, which are currently undergoing adoption by the European Commission within the Reporting framework v3.4.
