EBA updates supervisory reporting validation rules

Posted on June 22, 2025 by Editor

Earlier this month the European Banking Authority (EBA) published a revised list of validation rules under its Implementing Technical Standards (ITS) for supervisory reporting. The update identifies rules that have been deactivated due to inaccuracies or IT-related issues.

Alongside the list, the EBA released a micro taxonomy package and updated DPM VR deactivation scripts. These tools are necessary from release 4.0 onward to ensure consistent deactivation of rules across taxonomy and data point model layers.

This kind of housekeeping might not grab headlines, but it has a significant impact on software vendors and banks.
