EBA’s 2025 Annual Report puts data integration centre stage
The European Banking Authority (EBA) has published its 2025 Annual Report, setting out a year’s work dominated by two themes: simplifying the EU’s banking rulebook, and modernising the way supervisory data is collected and shared.
Together with the Pillar 3 Data Hub, the EBA expanded its European Data Access Portal and rolled out its first ESG Risk Dashboard, while laying the groundwork for a regular climate stress testing framework.
Simplification was also a major theme. Over the year, the EBA delivered elements of the Basel III reforms, adjusted ESG disclosure timelines, and issued 21 recommendations for a leaner regulatory and supervisory framework.
