Interstage XWand is a comprehensive suite of tools and software development kit (SDK) for creating, validating and processing XBRL documents - both taxonomies and instances.
The suite is taxonomy agnostic - we do not embed any taxonomy in our solution nor implement any restrictions to use any XBRL-compliant taxonomy available.
Interstage XWand fully supports the latest rules published by the EBA, EIOPA, SEC and the HMRC. This is done through the support for the European Filing Rules, EDGAR Filing Manual, and the HMRC Guidelines for Inline XBRL.

Interstage XWand Toolkit includes feature-rich collection of desktop tools (with GUI) that empowers users to create, edit, and validate taxonomies, financial reports (instance documents), and business rules (formulas) including inline XBRL (iXBRL).
Interstage XWand Application Developer includes a comprehensive set of documents and guidelines in English for developers and testers to be able to build tailored regulatory solutions and test cases from the off-the-shelf components.
Interstage XWand Runtime enables the deployment of bespoke applications (or existing applications enhanced to support XBRL) which have been developed using XWand Application Developer. It is provided as a set of Java/.NET libraries and is supported on Windows, Solaris and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
Interstage XWand Runtime is a thread-safe component allowing easy parallelization of the XBRL processing task. It provides a Validation Framework component which allows for execution of selected validation engines in flexible way. The validation engine can be either called directly (via a direct Java or .NET call) or executed with appropriate integration component: command-line, web-services, etc.
