GLEIF Release Video Explainer on Inclusion of LEI in Inline XBRL Annual Report
This great new video from the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) clearly explains the process and advantages of Inline XBRL and unique digital identifiers.
GLEIF recently published its annual reportusing machine-readable Inline XBRL format and embedding GELIF’s own Legal Entity Identifier into the financial information for the first time.
The process of embedding an entity’s LEI into its digital financial report is a big step forward for digital security and identity. It allows an organisation’s signatory to be connected to its disclosures, providing greater assurance about the data’s source and veracity. Thanks to the LEI, it can do so on a truly global basis.
