GREAT Act Passed by House and Introduced in the Senate

Posted on October 5, 2018 by Editor

The GREAT Act aims to transform US federal grant reporting from disconnected documents into open data by requiring the creation of a comprehensive and standardized taxonomy covering all reported federal grant and assistance data. This will deliver transparency for grant making agencies and the public, as well as allowing grantees to automate their reporting processes, reducing compliance costs.

The legislation has now been passed by the US House of Representatives and has been introduced in the Senate for consideration.
