IFRS Foundation seeks ISSB leaders
The International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Foundation has recently taken two further significant and concrete steps in the development of the proposed International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB). It has established and held the first meeting of an Eminent Persons Group, chaired by former President of the European Central Bank Jean-Claude Trichet. This will provide strategic advice and counsel on the formation of the ISSB to the Trustees, complementing other working groups and committees working to establish the Foundation’s role in sustainability-related financial disclosures. The IFRS Foundation has also published a call for nominations for the Chair and Vice-Chair of the ISSB.
