IOSCO and IFRS Foundation Solidify Cooperation on Standards

This week the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) and the IFRS Foundation announced a programme to promote and facilitate transparency within capital markets through the development and consistent application of IFRS Standards. The two organisations will work closely in the areas of identifying business reporting issues, encouraging the input by capital market authorities into the development of IFRS Standards and the consistent application of IFRS around the world.

Capital markets authorities and IFRS users are key XBRL stakeholders and have been an important part of the acceleration in XBRL adoption over the last few years. Read the IOSCO press release.
