AI to the power of AI
OK… so this is getting a little bit meta… but bear with us. STOXX Ltd., the operator of Deutsche Börse Group’s index business is in the process of launching two competing indices that focus on the opportunity that Artificial Intelligence offers to investors.
One index is created from a basket of securities that have been selected by human analysts that are looking for investible companies that are well placed to profit from their capabilities in the AI space.
The other is a basket of stocks selected by an AI engine…. looking for AI expertise… by searching through patent filings that relate to AI!
The human vs machine battle for performance is just beginning. Apparently the human analysts are edging out the robots – so far. An interesting experiment. Read more over at Bloomberg here.
