Watch a Webinar on the 9th Ruleset

Posted on May 17, 2019 by Editor

Want to know more about the recently released Data Quality Committees 9thRuleset? This week XBRL US hosted a webinar discussing the changes proposed in the ruleset, which is out for public review and comment until 15 June.

In addition to expanding on many existing rules, the 9th ruleset contains a new category of checks that evaluates and identifies incorrect calculation relationships in the SEC filers company taxonomy. The rule works by looking at the calculation relationships defined in the filers extension taxonomy and compares that to the U.S GAAP taxonomies to identify contradictions.

The webinar also looked at the 8th Ruleset, effective 8 May 2019, which included many rules for IFRS filers. The webinar covers a number of findings and lessons learnt from IFRS filings submitted in XBRL format.

A recording of the webinar is available here.
