Voice Your Opinion on the Need for XBRL Implementation Guidance

The XBRL community continues to grow, with an ever increasing number of organisations around the globe turning to structured data to collect and share business information in ways that are transparent, efficient and effective. With this growth comes the need for prescriptive guidance for those who are either contemplating  the use of XBRL or are already doing so. Whether covering the essential steps and considerations to implementing XBRL, taxonomy development or best practices in the application of any one of the XBRL specifications, market participants are looking for normative guidance.

As a first step, the XBRL International Best Practices Board and the XBRL Standards Board are gathering market feedback from the global community in order to better understand how such guidance can be prioritized to best meet the needs of stakeholders.

By surveying members of the community we hope to identify the needs of regulators, software developers, filers and others. Please take a few minutes to complete our market survey. Your insight will ensure that our future efforts in this areas have the most impact.
