ESEF use cases available as mandate year begins
In case you missed the event back in November, XBRL Europe has now made videos and presentations available from its 29th Digital Week, which focused on European Single Electronic Format (ESEF) use cases. 2022 is set to be a big year for ESEF, as reporting using this Inline XBRL-based format becomes mandatory across the EU. While it was originally due to begin in 2021 and many companies have already opted to test the waters with voluntary filings, most European counties opted to delay the mandate for a year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This coming year will be a big opportunity to put into practice all that has been learnt so far, as well as a test of preparedness for many.
