Joint Bank Reporting Committee calls for Reporting Contact Group members
If you have ever wished you had a seat at the table where EU banking reporting frameworks are shaped, here is your chance. The Joint Bank Reporting Committee (JBRC), established jointly by the European Banking Authority (EBA) and the European Central Bank (ECB), launched a call for expressions of interest in mid-April 2026 to join its Reporting Contact Group (RCG). The deadline is 28 April.
The JBRC was established following a Memorandum of Understanding between the EBA and ECB in March 2024, with a mandate to promote cooperation among European institutions on banking reporting and support the development of an integrated reporting system.
The RCG is a permanent substructure of the JBRC, composed of up to 22 members appointed for a three-year renewable mandate. Members are expected to dedicate at least one full working day per week to RCG activities and to bring strong expertise in supervisory, resolution and/or statistical reporting, or in related areas such as data modelling and standardisation.
The RCG plays a practical role in shaping how that system develops. Those with relevant expertise (and time) are encouraged to apply.
