UK gets updated taxonomies from FRC and BoE

The UK Financial Reporting Council (FRC) has issued its 2023 Taxonomy Suite. It introduces changes to all of the FRC’s XBRL taxonomies – namely UK IFRS, FRS 101, FRS 102, UKSEF, Irish Extensions and Charities. In addition to the updated taxonomies themselves, the suite includes taxonomy documentation, supporting documents, key information sheets and release notes.

The Bank of England has also in recent days released version 1.3.0 of its Statistics taxonomy. This now incorporates Form IPA, an established statistical collection form which the Bank is currently migrating from Excel to XBRL.
