Over 90% of companies in Jordan file XBRL reports

Posted on May 7, 2021 by Editor

We’re pleased to note that XBRL implementation in Jordan is having success, following its introduction last year. Mazen Wathaifi, CEO of Amman Stock Exchange (ASE), has announced that 93% of 174 listed companies have provided the ASE with their reviewed quarterly reports for the period ending 31 March 2021 as required, through its XBRL-based e-disclosure system. “This high percentage reflects the compliance of listed companies with the laws and regulations, and … with the principles of transparency and disclosure,” he observed.

It’s clear that digital reporting has rapidly become the new normal for Jordanian business. Congratulations to the teams at the ASE and Jordan Securities Commission.
