Europe’s sustainability reporting machinery continues to evolve. EFRAG has released an updated version of its VSME Digital Template, adding Dutch and Irish language versions and, usefully for many preparers, introducing a new data migration tool designed to carry existing reports smoothly into the latest template.
The European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) has opened two calls for expression of interest to support wider uptake of the Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard for SMEs (VSME) across the EU.
EFRAG is steadily building the foundations for digital sustainability reporting by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). On 3 October, it released a multi-language update to the VSME Digital Template, enabling users to generate Inline XBRL reports in Spanish, Polish, Lithuanian and Portuguese, in addition to English.
EFRAG has published two new reports mapping digital tools, platforms and initiatives designed to support application of the EU’s Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard for SMEs (VSME). The first provides a comparison of greenhouse gas (GHG) calculators, while the second surveys more than 200 reporting platforms and initiatives across Europe.
Earlier this week the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) launched an exemplar digital toolkit that’s tailor-made for small businesses: an Excel-based VSME Digital Template, a new XBRL taxonomy, and a handy open source converter to make it all machine-friendly.
EFRAG has just dropped a new video series designed to help small businesses get to grips with ESG reporting. The 10-part educational set dives deep into the Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard for non-listed SMEs (VSME)—with separate modules covering the basics and more comprehensive guidance.
EFRAG has released a full set of materials from its 7 April event, “VSME in Action: Empowering SMEs for a Sustainable Future,” including session recordings, presentation slides, and AI-translated content in 15 languages.
