The XBRL Standards Board has approved the release of a second Public Working Draft (PWD) of the Table Constraints specification. This modular enhancement to the xBRL-CSV format is designed to enable highly efficient validation of business rules, especially when dealing with very large xBRL-CSV reports.

We are pleased to announce that the XBRL International Standards Board (XSB) has elevated the new Country Code and Currency Code taxonomies to Proposed Recommendation status. These taxonomies furnish lists of ISO codes for countries and currencies, simplifying the incorporation of standard codes in XBRL reports, as mandated in various regulatory filings.
The XSB has approved additions to the XBRL Unit Registry to support sustainability reporting requirements. The new “intensity” units enable the reporting of measures such as “green house gas emissions per unit of revenue”.
The New Zealand External Reporting Board (XRB) has addressed the need for coherence between climate reporting and financial statements. The newly published guidance is designed for Climate Reporting Entities, offering insights into how New Zealand’s accounting standards apply to climate-related matters in financial statements.
